Accessibility Statement

1. Our Commitment to Accessibility

Soica & Associates is committed to ensuring equal access to our website and legal services for all individuals, including persons with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to justice and to the information and services provided by our Firm.

We are working to ensure that our website and digital communications meet or exceed the accessibility standards required under Ontario and Canadian law.

Our accessibility commitments are guided by the following legislation and standards:

  • Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA)

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA
  • Ontario Human Rights Code — with respect to equal access to services
  • Canadian Human Rights Act

The AODA requires that public-facing websites of organizations in Ontario meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards. We are committed to meeting these requirements and continuously improving accessibility across our digital platforms.

3. Website Accessibility Features

4. Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with commonly used assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver)

  • Keyboard-only navigation (no mouse required)

5. Known Limitations

While we strive to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA standards across our entire website, we acknowledge that some content may not yet fully comply. Known areas we are actively working to improve include:

  • Older PDF documents that may not be fully screen-reader accessible — we are progressively updating these
  • Some third-party embedded content (e.g., maps, booking tools) that may not fully meet our accessibility standards — we will continue to advocate for accessible alternatives

We are committed to addressing accessibility issues as they are identified and to continuously improving the accessibility of our digital content.

6. Alternative Formats and Communication Supports

Soica & Associates is committed to providing accessible client service. Upon request, we will make reasonable efforts to provide information and communications in accessible formats, including:

Our current accessibility priorities include:
